1. My guess ...
He stands behind Israel. He'll criticize Bush's inaction, but he won't criticize Israel. Here's a story from the 2004 election on Kerry and Israel

Our politicians are whores and AIPAC has lots of money.

2. That's my assumption, too--
but I wasn't sure if he'd come out with a statement yet. His handlers are probably waiting for better focus-group research before deciding which way to go...

3. I imagine he has the same position as all other Democratic senators.

4. What about all the other senators?
Are you curious where they stand too? Or does Kerry receive special scruntiny?

Has Boxer released a statement? Kennedy? Byrd? I know Feingold came out in support of Israel's offensive.

5. Maybe Kerry receives "special scrutiny" because he was the 2004 candidate.
Why are you so defensive?

6. I take that for a compliment. People are looking for leadership from him

BTW, Kennedy has released a statement who is more or less similar to Feingold and this morning, Boxer was refusing to condemn the US for abandonning Lebanon in this crisis.

7. I'm curious about the thinking of the potential presidential candidates,
yes. I thought maybe the Kerry group here would know what his position is. Why so defensive, indeed?

Thank you.

All I see from him at his site is a call for the administration to move faster in evacuating Americans out of Lebanon. Yeah, cheerleading the slaughter. Uh huh.
