NEEDED: List of Bush administration officials connecting Iraq and 9/11!
I KNOW I saw a list here somewhere, but I can't find it! I've got a goof who swears up and down that the administration NEVER tried to connection Iraq and 9/11. And I quote:

"There were a zillion articles and editorials on Iraq before the
invasion. This was discussed endlessly. It was emphasized over and
over again Iraq didn't cause 9/11. Since liberals refused to listen to
the Administration and only themselves, they didn't hear that.

Interestingly, liberals didn't disupte the Administration's
intelligence findings; indeed, they confirmed it. Liberals said "sure
Iraq has nasty weapons because the U.S. gave it to them!"."

So, I could use your assistance, please! Help me give this idiot a good spanking. :)

The best part---

On May 8, 2003, Judge Baer released his written findings in the case and awarded damages to the plaintiffs in the amount of $104 million, to be paid by the defendants: Saddam, bin Laden, al-Qaida, the Taliban, and the former Iraqi government.

In his written findings Judge Baer acknowledged that he based his decision on the statements of Woolsey, Powell, Tenet, and Mylroie, all of whom he considered experts on the Saddam-9/11 connection, and said, "The opinion testimony of the plaintiffs' experts is sufficient to meet plaintiffs' burden that Iraq collaborated in or supported bin Laden/al Qaeda's terrorist acts of September 11 ..."

"Their opinions, coupled with their qualifications as experts on this issue," Judge Baer wrote, "provide a sufficient basis for a reasonable jury to draw inferences which could lead to the conclusion that Iraq provided material support to al Qaeda and that it did so with knowledge and intent to further al Qaeda's criminal acts."

5. Rep. Waxman had a report prepared on exactly that topic.
It's a 36-page PDF, but go nuts with it.

In more ways than one. Waxman is going to nail these guys a million ways to Sunday when the day comes. My gratitude and regard for him knows no boundaries.

6. Another thought:
PM LynnTheDem. She might have an archived page with a bunch of ready-made headlines on the topic. I know I've archived enough of her other compilations.

You'll find things are nicely annotated, with links.

just one sample:

"The people who argued for waiting for more evidence have to ask themselves how they are going to feel at that point where another event occurs.” Rumsfeld also says during a news conference that according to “intelligence reports,” Saddam’s government is “hosting, supporting or sponsoring” an al-Qaeda presence in Iraq. Responding to a question about whether he has any evidence to support the claim that al-Qaeda is operating in Iraq, Rumsfeld states, “There are Al-Qaeda in a number of locations in Iraq.... The suggestion that ... who are so attentive in denying human rights to their population aren’t aware of where these folks are or what they’re doing is ludicrous in a vicious, repressive dictatorship.... t’s very hard to imagine that the government is not aware of what’s taking place in the country.” Shortly after Rumsfeld’s remarks, a senior US intelligence official tells The Guardian that there is no evidence to back the defense secretary’s claims. “They are not the official guests of the Government,” a second official says, adding that any al-Qaeda in the region are still “on the run.” "

Of course, he'll say that there was never a statement saying "Iraq was involved in 9/11."
