Most of the people I know are repubs... |
|
You know how many are against embryonic stem cell research? None. One said she wasn't sure. * would do well to think about signing this bill. Only extreme fundies are against this. He can't run in 08 so he doesn't need their votes anymore. Come on bush do something good for once in your damn life.

1. HE can't run, but he sure can lose the house & senate in 06! |
|
I don't know where to find the individual vot results on this bill, but we need to see who the senators were who voted no. If 4 of them are in close campaigns, a veto still stand a chance.
I know one was Samtorum because I heard hi pitching his fit, but I don't know all the rest.

2. I know extreme fundies |

who are pro stem cell research. Why? Because they have loved ones who would benefit from it. Funny how their extreme views change when it affects them instead of everybody else, isn't it?

4. I know a few fundies who have changed their minds about it |
|
because they know those embryos don't have a chance of being implanted into unwilling women. They know those embryos will be thrown into the garbage. They also know people who have horrible diseases with stem cells being a potential cure.
They're coming around slowly, but they're coming around.
