But 79% humidity. Heat index doesn't get past the mid-90s, though. The thuunderstorm and clouds knocked the heat down.
On edit: Houston.

It said the max temperature had been 105°. Then this morning's paper confirmed it.
As Robin Williams said, I could do some "crotch-pot" cookin' it's so hot.

8. 110 F against a brick wall on the patio in the sun. |
|
It's about 80F here with a reasonable humidity. The forecast says we get punished for this on the weekend. I'm glad I'm not in Texas anymore, where that sounds like a cool spell, but after 18 years I've re-acclimated to Wisconsin and mid-90's and 90% humidity is once again a potential killer.

But by this weekend, we're going to catch up with the rest of you guys; they're predicting over 100 on Saturday...

46. 72 Degrees In Seattle |
|
But then we are having some wierd weather here that is kind of "tempermental" meaning it is not a normal summer. We no longer get snow in the winter much, and we cannot depend on the summer weather here staying warm or cool, it jumps all over the place, or has this year it seems to me. We had drought a few years in a row with cool springs and summer, just no rain, and this year it stormed and rained more than usual, yet was unusually warm at the beginning of summer breaking records. this week however it is actually cool at night.
One of the most consistant things about summer in Seattle is that USUALLY, the sunniest and hottest weather is the last week of July and the first week of August. If you ever come to Seattle, come then because it is almost guaranteed you will have good weather. I know this because I am 53 years old and my birthday is at the end of July. In all those 53 years in Rainy Seattle it has only rained TWICE on my birthday. We will see how skewed it can get however, if global warming rears its ugly head ...
Anyways the weather is weird and you cannot depend on it.
Cat In Seattle
P.s. Where the HELL is D/FW?
