New Head of American Gold Star Mothers Leads Hypocritical Double-life

WASHINGTON, July 18 /Christian Newswire/ -- Betty Jean Pulliam, 80, was elected as the new national president of the American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. during their convention held earlier this month in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. Pulliam’s son, Dale was killing in action in Viet Nam on Mother’s Day, 1967.

While Pulliam prides herself in logging volunteer hours with groups that honor the sacrifice of veterans, Pulliam has another interest that runs counter to defending life and liberty, notions for which her son gave his life.

Betty Jean Pulliam is an employee of the notorious late-term abortionist George R. Tiller of Wichita, who is currently under Grand Jury investigation in the abortion death of 19-year old Christin Gilbert.

Pulliam is Tiller’s longest employee and regularly reports to work at Women’s Health Care Services dressed in scrubs, in spite of her age, where late- term, viable babies are aborted. Operation Rescue documented Gilbert’s abortion death there last year along with eight other botched abortions requiring emergency hospitalization in an 18-month span of time.

“It is a national disgrace to have someone who insures the brutal deaths of innocent babies representing the women whose sons and daughters paid the ultimate price to secure life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.

“We have often wondered if she has some sick desire to make sure other women feel the same loss of a child that she has had to endure,” said Newman. “So many women emerge from that abortion mill with lifelong regrets, that it has to make one wonder.”
