tinfoil question
Hypothetically, what do you think of this scenario? Israel allows all the ships in to evacuate foreigners from Lebanon, then bombs the hell out of Lebanon with conventional or nukes.

Oh crap, so much for my resolution to quit trying to predict. But what do you think?

1. Bombing the hell out of Lebanon would be awful
I hope a cease fire to get people out would be used as a time to start some kind of talks.

3. that would be a good idea, I just suddenly had the bad thought that
removing foreigners would "let" the situation escalate further. Hoping that they could use the evacuation time to talk, but evacuations have been and still are happening, so I don't know if this is realistic either.

2. How about Jesus coming back riding a white horse?
Because that's what our leadership believes is going to happen one day.

All of this mayhem will ultimately lead to "his glorious return".

Okay, maybe they don't really believe it, but they act as if they do. Is our perception their reality?

4. It's already happening except for nukes
and Israel won't use nukes on Lebanon, because it would be a collective suicide. Such a measure would lead to a later nuking of Israel. The problem is that in such a case Israel due to its size would cease to exist, while its opponents would survive, even if nuked. It's just a matter of numbers.

5. ok, that is a good thought about nukes, forget the small size/distances
and yes, they are bombing the hell out of them now, but thinking that any restraints would be lifted. Thanks for the reason for no nukes thought.
