That William Kristol... there is something seriously wrong with this lunatic.

What's happening in the Middle East, then, isn't just another chapter in the Arab-Israeli conflict. What's happening is an Islamist-Israeli war. You might even say this is part of the Islamist war on the West--but is India part of the West? Better to say that what's under attack is liberal democratic civilization, whose leading representative right now happens to be the United States.

No Islamic Republic of Iran, no Hezbollah. No Islamic Republic of Iran, no one to prop up the Assad regime in Syria. No Iranian support for Syria (a secular government that has its own reasons for needing Iranian help and for supporting Hezbollah and Hamas), little state sponsorship of Hamas and Hezbollah. And no Shiite Iranian revolution, far less of an impetus for the Saudis to finance the export of the Wahhabi version of Sunni Islam as a competitor to Khomeini's claim for leadership of militant Islam--and thus no Taliban rule in
Afghanistan, and perhaps no Hamas either.

For while Syria and Iran are enemies of Israel, they are also enemies of the United States. We have done a poor job of standing up to them and weakening them. They are now testing us more boldly than one would have thought possible a few years ago. Weakness is provocative. We have been too weak, and have allowed ourselves to be perceived as weak.
The right response is renewed strength--in supporting the governments of Iraq and Afghanistan, in standing with Israel, and in pursuing regime change in Syria and Iran. For that matter, we might consider countering this act of Iranian aggression with a military strike against Iranian nuclear facilities. Why wait? Does anyone think a nuclear Iran can be contained? That the current regime will negotiate in good faith? It would be easier to act sooner rather than later. Yes, there would be repercussions--and they would be healthy ones, showing a strong America that has rejected further appeasement.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/weeklystandard/20060717/cm_weeklystandard/itsourwar_1My only question for Mr. Kristol is, "Where do you plan to rally this strength from, sir?" Iraq has bankrupted us, demoralized us, denigrated our good name and left us divided and weak. Who do you have left that is going to support World War 3? or 4? or whatever we're up to now?
Your boy has screwed up your revolution so terribly that you're left with very few options here. According to this recent
AFP article, his tactics in battling the War of Terror are now illegal. The Middle East Peace
Road-map (or whatever you called it) is going up in flames. Terrorism is now the soup du jour for anyone who wishes to manipulate their population or make a quick buck. And to top it all off, we don't even have a clue as to how much the current war is costing us; according to this
AFP article our money is being blown out the window so fast, we can't even count it. So Mr. Kristol, whose going to fight your expanded war? Where are we going to get the money for it? Are we going to be greeted as liberators this time? Is the expanded war going to pay for itself this time? This time, will the world sit back and just allow us to attack yet another country on concocted WMD evidence and some whimsical references to 9/11?
You can talk all you want to, you warmonger, but no more War. You have fucked up this world enough. You guys are cut off! Now go slink off somewhere and jerk off to your Abu Ghraib snuff films; leave the defense of this nation to the adults. I'm tired of your ignorant bullshit, tired of your chicken-hawk warmongering and more importantly, I'm tired of you and that asshole you call King. Fuck off William Kristol and take your whole sordid lot with you when you go.
