The real irony

(Wish I could give credit where due, but I can't read the sig, and BartCop doesn't usually attribute.)

1. The signature is Bill Ray.
I can't read the name of the newspaper or syndicate, whichever it is.

6. You probably wouldn't be familiar wtih him.
It's my painting of the confluence of the Kaw and Missouri Rivers in Kansas City. Actually, the bridges and viaducts that cross them.

7. wow! I like it
When I first saw it, it reminded me of this painting by Grant Wood, which my grandparents hung in their house for years (indeed, my grandma still has it up):

This is not to say your painting necessarily looks like grant wood painting--but the immediate sense/evocation of place when looking at your painting made me think of the wood painting.

I'd have to say evlbstrd, that for an evil bastard you paint very well ;) I like it :hi:

8. Thank you very much.
I really appreciate the comparison to Grant Wood. I love his work. Maybe I'm a latecomer Regionalist, a la Wood and Thomas Hart Benton!
