The CIA's code name for Cheney is "Edgar" |
|
As in Edgar Bergen. (Edgar's the one on the right) Apparently, this fact is taken from Ron Suskind's new book, "The One Percent Doctrine" http://delong.typepad.com/sdj/2006/06/ron_suskinds_ne.htmlAs heard on Randy Rhode's show.

I wonder if revealing his code name could maybe be a shot across the bow? I'm guessin' that they know all kinds of little details about Edgar.

That they hate this admin SO MUCH (at least the career guys) that they would do ANYTHING, including psy-ops and covert stuff to bring them down.
Remember, Cheney and his ilk drew first blood against the CIA. They've always hated any agency that was even partially out of their control.

15. Something for the "cultural history buffs" |
|
Edgar Bergen is the father of Candice Bergen, star of the old "Murphy Brown" TV series, who was chastised by none other than former veep Dan Quayle for portraying a character who had a child "out of wedlock".
Of course, this was a fictional pregnancy, but what's a "little white lie" among Faux-fundies?

I imagine they would be, they're completely different branches of government with different purposes.
And Cheney isn't trying to destroy the Secret Service.
