I am hereby predicting that we hear more about this charging for rescuing these people from Lebanon in the future. I think they will slap another title on this issue and try again.

6. No. Ironically, the medical students didn't need or want to be "rescued."

Reagan invaded a tiny island nation to take attention away from the disaster of the Marine barracks bombing and deaths of more than 200 Marines in Lebanon. (US military history always involves the Middle East...) However, the US did manage to kill many innocent civilians in Grenada during the invasion and "rescue" of students who were not in danger.

Their lives have been changed forever by the events of the Revo, the US invasion, detention and torture by US forces (the same techniques as used at Gitmo & Abu Ghraib),illegal judicial rulings (the illegal trial and imprisonment of the Grenada 17, 16 of whom are till in prison to this day) and US policy that influences (not always for the good of the people) Grenadian politics to this day.
