Repub House of Rep debating the flag amendment - the Dems |
|
are debating the Minimum Wage. It is a thing of beauty that the Repugs are trying to beat a dead horse on activist judges taking "God" out the the Pledge of Allegiance. Repug speaker and repug speaker are flogging the amendment. Then a Dem gets up calls it BS and then launches into a speech about Minimum Wage. I am so proud of the Dems for not playing nice.
Obey just said we have 15 weeks until election. We are scheduled to be here in DC working for 4 weeks and be out of DC for 11 of those 15 weeks. We are not taking any action to protect workers, addressing health care, (gives a whole laundry list of things they AREN'T doing) but will attack judges. Hellfire and brimstone.
The Repugs are just flatfooted.
*Note - I'm paraphrasing the "quotes" but you get the gist.

2. You have my sympathies - heck I'd be pleased as punch if Rep Ron Lewis |
|
(R-KY) could get his lips off of McConnell's ass long enough to express an opinion of his own. Ain't gonna happen. On the up side, Lewis' seat, once thought pretty secure, is now in the sorta iffy column and Mike Weaver is giving him a run for his money.
I just love the way the Dems are throwing the flag BS back in their faces with the minimum wage debate. It is frustrating the repugs and all they can do is just parrot their previously scripted remarks and comes out sounding really lame because no one is really debating the issue. They "throw down" the "activist judges" and the Dems come back with this is silly, let's talk about minimum wages. I just wish the American people could see how silly this whole debate really is.

6. Pledge of Allegiance bill? WTF! |
|
Federal Courts couldn't hear a case of challenge to the pledge? Now they can tell the court what they can entertain as a valid case and what they can't? What's up with that?
