Only CNN International news gives the real story about what is going on
in Lebanon. Not CNN US, MSNBC, and certainly not FOX.

3. I had wondered if what we got in the UK
reflected what was shown in the USA. No specific examples : just the general tone and facial expressions of the presentors conveying quite apparent sincere sympathy with the plight of the Lebanese.

"quite apparent sincere" above = good on them. CNN have gone considerably up in my esteem.

7. In my experience

What is seen in Europe on CNN International is not even close to what we see in the US on CNN. CNN in the US is a farce, typically only telling one side of a story.

Cheers

9. That's because they're not "here" on the ground
I saw a post yesterday about one 'host' speaking with someone in Lebanon on a cell phone. He cut her off, apparently ending it with 'that's not what we're reporting here on the ground' (or words to that effect). It seems the reporting of "here" is information from the WH.

10. Also check out Democracy Now
http://www.democracynow.org/index.pl

From Tuesday's show:

RANIA MASRI: One more comment, if I may. I encourage everyone who’s listening to this to do two things. One is turn off the television and not to watch mainstream corporate American news, because you’re only going to get misinformation. And second is to turn your internet on to electroniclebanon.net, where you will be getting eyewitness reports from besieged Lebanon
