Soldiers are Dying so the Republicans Go Fishing
Oh. My. God.

The world is going to hell in a hand basket, thousands of US soldiers are dead, thousands of American civilians are dead because of Bush’s incompetency and the federal defecit is spinning out of control. So what do these Republican Senators decide to do? They decide that it’s the perfect time to go fishing with lobbyists and executives from major U.S. industries. Shouldn’t they be legislating or something? Shouldn’t they be figuring out how to get us out of Iraq? Shouldn’t they be worried about their constituents instead how they are going to line their own pockets?

Sometimes, staying the course is stupid. This November change the direction.

1. Keep the fish. Throw them back in.
On second thought, throw the fish back in too, but move to nonpolluted waters.

3. Wow! $800,000 raised!
Where is that money going to? My guess would be for a non-profit that protects the fishing for corporate executives and lobbyists.

Where is the money coming from? From stockholders and tax breaks that were bought with the piddling cost of a fishing junket.

4. You ain't shitting me
$800,000 could solve a lot of problems instead I'm afraid it will be used to make a few people richer.

5. Then they come home and try to feed us "free market" mysticism.
There is no such thing as a free market when "the market" depends so completely on what these lobbyists can bribe the Congress into doing for them.

7. What's the problem?
Where would you prefer Repuke senators to be, fishing or in Washington making things worse? If they weren't on vacation, I'd be complaining about the legislation their trying to push through.

10. The ultimate irony here: If it weren't for liberal policies
there would be no fish.
