Edited on Tue Jan-17-06 06:51 PM by raysr
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Ben Nelson of Nebraska on Tuesday became the first Senate Democrat to announce his support of conservative Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito, who is expected to be confirmed later this month by the full Republican-led Senate.

7. You've never heard of a conservative democrat?
They call them Dixiecrats in the south and there are plenty of them.

many Southern DEM counties went RED. All of the local politicians are DEMs, but they are conservative DEMs. There are no local Repukes because the electorate would rather die than vote for a local Repuke (good old yellow-dog Democrats).

5. Wow!! What a surprise there...
Ben Nelson is a rotten traitor to the Democratic Party. Why does he still consider himself to be Democrat, while all he ever does is vote with the Repugs??? I wish he would just leave the party, we really don't need people like him to be part of the party, when they always vote with the opposite party.
