The Irish government was unable to control the IRA and even had members of Sinn Fein in their parliament (Dail) and the Brits had to bomb Dublin Airport and roads leading into Dublin to curtail the violence in Belfast and Derry and even London?

Not to mention the threats against Washington, D.C., where some Irish American politicians supported Sinn Fein? And, Boston and New York where Irish Americans helped fund "terrorism"?

Funny, I don't remember that either.

Hunh. I see that technique get trotted out fairly often but it doesn't really work. Not that that'll stop someone from wheeling it out a day, or a week from now.

people from a country that has something you want and refuse to let you steal it, or control their puppet leaders to get to it.
Otherwise, they are either 'freedom fighters' or minor annoyances.
