Considering the numbers of casualties, which is more plausible:
Anti-Semitism or Anti-Muslim?

Think about it.

6. Okay. I've rather adopted that,....in terms of economic oppression.
However, the deaths of hundreds of thousands,...

4. High School football.
This 'conflict', like all others, gets the South Texas HS football treatment - no one cares about universal moral relevancy, all the 'competitors' care about is the score:

23 dead Israelis
190 dead Lebanese.

It is a scoreboard, nothing more to some, that allows 'their side' the right to shout in self-righteous indignation towards their 'competitor'. And like a STHS football game, both sides glorify every touchdown with an increase in the bodycount. Cheerleaders wave pom poms, girls sign artillery shells and children strap-on bombs to become the next martyr.

What really bothers me now, is the fact that I have so much blood on MY hands! My brothers and sisters have been killing people by the thousands in Iraq for over 3 years, IN MY NAME. No matter if I don't agree, IN MY NAME, by the Republic I support and defend. Swimming in blood. And so too does that war get treated like a football game:

2,500 dead US troops
30-100,000 dead Iraqis.

So are we winning yet? That seems to be all that counts.

7. Yes. I have thought of our foreign (and domestic) policy that way.
I don't think we'll ever win,...on this path. It's a lose/lose travel.

5. Ugh
Turning the ugliest aspects of human nature into a competition is not particularly a positive thing.

8. True. It does seem a "competition" though, doesn't it?
 A competition of wills, with the strongest beating the fuck out of the weakest in order to impose power.

That's how it seems. Of course, I am looking through the window of those who view humanity as a means to their ends.
