Did Anthony Bourdain ever get out of Lebanon? |
|
For those who don't know, celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain and his crew were filming an episode of his show "No Reservations" in Beiruit when all of the madness began. Last I heard he was still stuck there, and I can't seem to find any new information about it. I hope he is well and hope that he and his crew are filming their experience with this summer's Katrina. Can't wait to read what he writes about it. Good luck Tony! :toast: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2006/07/14/celebrity-chief-anthony-b_n_25079.htmlhttp://offthebroiler.wordpress.com/2006/07/14/no-reservations-the-shwarma-and-shrapnel-episode/http://www.anthonybourdain.com/

Thinking great thoughts for Tony (the sexiest man in the world, IMO) and the whole No Reservations crew.

9. thx. I somehow missed that one. |

At least it sounds like they are okay for now. Can't wait to read what he writes about it once he's back.
"We (the NR crew) are indeed well — and well looked after. It’s indeed frightening here, it’s enraging, it’s horrifying, and its frustrating..the classic “long hours of boredom interspersed with moments of terror” phenom they always use when talking about life during wartime. But we are relatively safe. And sooner or later we will no doubt be heading home."

I think he's great and I hope he's safe.
I'm sure he'll have a hell of a show when he gets back and I wish him godspeed

10. I hope so... I actually like the Travel Channel... |
|
It has some of the better programming, honestly. I never thought I'd watch that network until I happened across it several months back. I thought it was all just infomercials. It's actually really good!

12. I'm so glad Tony's okay... |
|
but it's sorta ironically funny to me that Hezbollah of all organizations ruined his trip. I'm sure he appreciates the irony too.

13. Great writer! Great TV host! Lousy chef! |
|
From what I've heard about the restaurant, it's nothing special. And a little birdy I know who was in the "back" part of the resaurant said it was absolutely filthy.
