South Carolina Businesses Raided

SPARTANSBURG, S.C. - The Spartanburg Herald reported that Priscilla's, a local South Carolina novelty store, was shut down for several hours Friday, while Spartanburg County sheriff's investigators hauled out boxes of sex toys and instructional videos.

The sex toys were on display on three shelves, said Sheriff Chuck Wright, who said he was not trying to hamper business.

The Movie Gallery, just down the road and within view of Priscilla's, also had materials taken by deputies.

Two people were charged with disseminating obscene material from each location. The arrests were connected to the rental or sale of videos and DVDs.
