When will there be a bill banning the destruction of frozen embryos and providing public money to women who will bring them to term?
Tony Snow said today that Bush considers their destruction to be "murder." So, then why aren't he and his right-wing nutjob followers doing more to "save" them? Bush's action today will not keep even one of those embryos from being destroyed.
Bush's base should be outraged! But, of course, they won't be. The Bushite credo requires one to have strong opinions about this stuff, but is "fuzzy" on the idea of actually having the courage of your convictions.

1. I'll wager bush's fundamentalist base is largely ignorant about this. |

Let's face it; they're not the most learned of Americans.

had no idea that the excess embryos from fertility clinics were the ones that scientists were hoping to use for research. I explained to her that these 8 celled "embryos" are currently just being thrown in the trash. She was so shocked and said "I don't think Bush knows that! Someone should tell him!".

2. If the destruction of frozen embryos is murder then the next |
|
logical step is that those who destroy them (which is done every day) have to be tried, convicted, and if it's in Texas executed for the "murder". Now if that includes the parents that "abandoned" these "children", maybe these nut jobs will lose some of their fervor on protecting them. Nah.
