RW Hate Radio: Evacuees are crybabies...

I am so pissed off right now. I listened to Michael Reagan for a few minutes, on my
way to the grocery store--and I couldn't believe that he was spewing the same ignorant, compassionless insults about the US citizens stranded in Lebanon.

I didn't listen to ALL of the right-wing jabberjaws today. I can only tolerate so much hate in my car. However, I did hear a few minutes of Glen Beck and Limbaugh. Both were echoing what Reagan said this evening.

Tonight, Reagan played some Anderson Cooper clips of people saying that they were upset about not being evacuated sooner. One student talked about how the Swiss, French and Italian students were all gone--evacuated days ago. This student said she was frightened and that she could not get through to the US Embassy. Regan said that the US government should charge her--and others like her--for whining. He called them crybabies and said, "You got yourselves over to Lebanon and now you whine and cry when the United States can't get you out fast enough! No wonder the world thinks our country is spoiled!"

Limbaugh was worse. He was talking in a high-pitched, whiny voice--making fun of the people who were still in Lebanon. Rush imitating the US citizens stranded in Lebanon--by crying like a baby and screaming, "Come get me NOW! Come get me NOW!".

Yeah, yeah...I know this is right-wing hatemongers we're talking about here. However, I'm a bit perplexed. Our brothers and sisters stranded in a war zone---is not a right/left issue. It's an AMERICAN ISSUE. I'm terrified for these people. They are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. I just want them home. I want them safe. Shouldn't we all?

How in the world did rescuing US citizens from a war zone--become fodder for vitriolic right-wing nut jobs?

I've been so incredibly concerned about EVERYONE over there. These people are our brothers and sister! Why do the current right-wing talking points demonize these people? They're scared! I'd be upset too, if I saw everyone else leaving, while I sat around--waiting for my government to help out!

The woman on the Anderson Cooper interview said that they had to leave their homes, and that they had no food or water. She said they were making beds out of cardboard boxes and plastic bags. After she said that, Reagan laughed and said, "Booooo Hooooo! Can you believe these whiners?"

I just had this argument on my veteran's board. One of the freeps was complaining about "us having to rescue Americans abroad." His words, "They chose to live there so they can find their own way home."

These nimrods can't think for themselves, so they listen to Limbaugh. They hear the hate and they think it's ok to repeat. They don't realize how ridiculous and stupid they sound.

People travel and live abroad for many reasons--to attend university, to visit relatives, to vacation, to sightsee. My God. Are we going to punish people who have done nothing wrong?

They are in a horrible situation, through no fault of their own. Why WOULDN'T we want to help our citizens???? Why WOULDN'T we do everything possible to support them and help get them to safety?

These hatemongers are treating these people as if they are criminals. They just want to be safe!

Their attitudes are so unChristian, it's shocking! Just because Rush Limbaugh say something--they repeat it without thinking about how vitriolic they sound.
