Paul posted a fantastic birthday themed Carnival of the Liberals #17 earlier this morning. Now, I wonder whose birthday it could be… Hmm… ;-)

4. I ponder that myself.

Perhaps it's the same reason people go Chilie's on weekends when there are lots of good local restaurants: You know what you are getting.

The reason CotL exists is to give up-and-comming bloggers a shot and encourage them with a boost in traffic.

Besides, it's fun to kvetch.

In addition to the traffic thing, which is always nice for newer bloggers, it's also about building community. I've come across so many interesting bloggers doing Carnival of the Liberals (I think we've had submissions from very close to 150 different blogs now) and a couple have become fast friends.
