Harris Poll-Bush Bounces From 33% To 34%, Dems Preferred 44% to Repubs 31%
Bush Job Ratings Change Little
From June, Harris Poll Shows

THE WALL STREET JOURNAL ONLINE
July 19, 2006 10:30 p.m.

President Bush's job-approval ratings have changed little from June, according to a recent Harris Interactive poll.

Of 1,002 U.S. adults surveyed in a telephone poll, 34% said Mr. Bush is doing an "excellent or pretty good" job as president, up a tick from 33% in June. By comparison, 65% of Americans said Mr. Bush is doing an "only fair or poor" job, down from 67% last month.

With midterm elections less than four months away, the poll also asked respondents whether they would choose a Democratic or Republican candidate "if the election for Congress were held today." Forty-four percent of those surveyed said they would vote for the Democratic candidate, up from 41% in April, while 31% said they would vote for the Republican candidate, down from 37% in April.

3. No, And. . .
. . .(btw, i knew you were aware the answer was no) i noticed that 34% think he's doing an "excellent or pretty good job". Pretty good? Well, i would be VERY interested in knowing how many think "excellent" rather than "pretty good". Pretty good isn't exactly high praise. It's almost like agreeing "he doesn't suck".

2. A WSJ poll????????
Since it's the WSJ you know those numbers slightly favor the pukes. So I'm guessing you can take 1-2 points away from scrubbie and the pukes.

11. Actually that poll is better than most polls which show Bush with
36 or 37 percent. Harris is considered a very good firm.

He never got that type of bounce, except when the people got frightened after 9/11.

8. Three questions I'd like to see on all these polls:
Edited on Thu Jul-20-06 09:09 AM by EST
1)On a scale of one to ten, how likely are you to answer all questions truthfully?

2)If Jesus or Santa Claus or your mother (or whatever image you hold sacred) were standing right beside you and listening to this exchange, how might your answers change?

3)Have you ever done anything illegal or really shameful that you are pretty sure no one knows about but you?

bushit's conduct over there in Europe he would be going down to 25%. If the fucking corporate media would get off their lazy corporate ass and do some reporting.

And they include some of the strangest among us. The rest would support Bush regardless of how well he actually performs.

Let's see how the new WWIII/Isreal's Survival PR campaign goes, because I'm convinced that's the next "Mushroom Cloud" (Be Afraid -- Look Over THERE! IT'S HEZBOLLAH!)

Fear, war, death, destruction, things that are bad for US make BushCo smile.

19. This is still very scary....
Think about it. There are still 32-36% of us...real Americans (I think)...that see this guy as doing a good job! That is ruthlessly scary.....

Try this if you dare: Next time you are caught in traffic...count. The numbers say that every third car you see is driven by someone who things GW Bush is a good thing for America.

Then ask yourself: If that person is not awake enough to see what has happened and is happening to this country...what makes you think they are sane enough...or awake enough...or safe enough to drive?

Makes me just want to stay off the roads.

23. Seeing Attention Lead To Positive Change
I don't completely trust Gore Vidal's sincerity, but he
once said "things change; we always hope for the
better."
The results of this survey I think demonstrate this. I
am not proficient enough to state every reason why, but then
again I don't think anyone is perfectly able to either.
I conclude this contribution by saying there is no
guarantee that change will always be for the better, equally
for everyone, but that many have struggled for a better future
for life in general and I think they are succeeding.
