2. Heard that on NPR--don't watch network news so I can't say whether
it was reported at all or blacked-out.

3. Not surprised
It's extremely rare, but it's happened in US hospitals, gang vs. gang vs. the cops.

6. 2 factions of *cops* against each other, "gang" shows up during firefight
Edited on Thu Jul-20-06 11:31 AM by kenny blankenship
to evacuate their homies from the pitched gun battle going on between the "cops"

the shooting started between two different groups of police, regular police and special commandoes--that's the difference between what happened yesterday in Baghdad and anything that happens in America. Presumably the 2 different groups of "cops" actually represent two different factions of militants that have infiltrated the police forces and military of Iraq, one of which phoned home to their militant group which sent in the cavalry to get their wounded buddies ("gang" members who were already patients there) out of the hospital.
