Trying to contact Al Franken's people
Hi,

I'm with the Maryland Federation of College Democrats. We are the organization responsible for coordinating statewide efforts in Maryland for College students this fall in support of the Democratic Party. Maryland is the only truly endangered Senate senate seat we may lose (Senator Paul Sarbanes is retiring) and we have an incumbent far right Governor Bob Ehrlich up for reelection. I am planning several events to boost student involvement and GOTV efforts. In doing so, I'd like to book Al Franken or a similar celebrity to help boost the momentum after the primaries. Does anyone know how I can contact him for a speaking engagement? Thanks!

3. Franken usually answers his email.
He's answered two of mine in the recent past, neither of which requested or required an answer.

5. Al often takes his radio show on the road...see if your location will..
..fit into an upcoming roadtrip (I am sure you will be able to contact him or his producers). It would be cool to have him do his radio program from a Maryland college and have your candidates on. I am sure he will be on the road using his show to stump for Dems in the upcoming months and I bet he would love to come to Maryland to help out.

My pride and joy. :-)

7. Good luck
Glad to see your taking initiative on this matter. Just a word for the wise is if National CDA acts like it did last year you will receive absolutely NO help. Hopefully things will change now that Grant is not the president.

P.S I hope you could make it to the Convention, I sadly could not.

From a former President NJ College Dems.
