6. This is just like before the Iraq war, the Democrats are falling
all over themselves backing Israel and Bush. We are in even more trouble than I had previously thought. We don't even have an opposition party,only a few brave people such as Kucinich and Conyers.

I support Israel's right to defense but not to keep blowing the bejeezus out of Lebanon in general. Too morally ambiguous.

11. That's what I'd have done as well
In a very indirect way, a no vote OKs the Hezbollah attacks. On the other hand, you don't want to justify Israeli overkill either.

14. Complete agreement
Israel's reaction is completely over the top. The only acceptable vote on this bill was to not vote.

DK has always held that ALL the parties in the region are accountable for the conflict. ALL the parties need to exercise restraint. The problem is NONE of them actually are.
