1. Tough one. I'd go Dean because he got the ball rolling. |

They all stand up and tell truth - truth to power - truth to us all, and so what if the loudmouth minority attack them for it. I think when the GOP attacks you, you're doing something right.
I know the least about Hackett, but I must say, he is REALLY impressing me so far.

7. Hackett doesn't even belong in that group. |
|
He remains an unproven commodity and I suspect you will find him more conservative than you like.

8. I've seen at least part of his conservative side. |
|
I'm not a crazy liberal, though. I'm a moderate liberal. That's how I see Hackett.
And, no, not "moderate liberal" meaning "DLC whore liberal." Totally, entirely different.

10. if I'm not mistaken, Hackett has expressed support for the occupation... |
|
...which, if true, makes him a 100 percent non-starter for me. I'd like to know more about this, although his current run for the Senate doesn't involve me (I'm in CA). Both Gore and Dean have gone on record as strongly opposed to the war against Iraq. There is much to like about both of them, but on balance Dean impresses me more. Although I supported him for chair of the DNC, I really wish he could run for President in '08.

11. Dean supported the occupation as well. |
|
For awhile. As did I.
I don't know what Hackett's current position is. But the occupation gets more and more pointless every day.
The more the occupation fails, the more pointless it is.
But, the more the occupation is successful- the more pointless it is.
