3. It would be less embarrassing

if the discussions were solution-driven. My solution: Lebanon and Israel must work together to demolish Hezbollah. Other nations in the region should be assisting in this, and some are lending support, but the ones who are backing Hezbollah are adding to the problem.

Calls for a cease-fire are unrealistic. Hezbollah must be stopped for everyone's sake.

5. Funny, thanks to Israel, just the opposite may happen.

The Lebanese government said today that if Israel invaded, the Lebanese army would join forces with Hezbollah to fight the foreign invaders.

You want a solution? How about A JUST PEACE with the Palestinians? Not a unilaterally imposed settlment, but a just peace negotiated between the parties with honest brokers--which means the US would be sidelined. Or we could try for a regional settlement. Then the US, as an actor in this conflict could try to sort things out with Syria and Iran.
