Regarding quick evacuations |

(This applies to natural disasters too ...)
I believe more lives would be lost in evacuating people in haste rather than people seeking refuge in the area of danger. We saw what happened in Hurricane Rita. More people died trying to evacuate than did in the actual hurricane. I believe the same thing applies to Lebanon. What is a better target than Americans gathering at a central point to depart the country.
You want to save lives ... then instruct your citizens to seek shelter away from likely targets. I support the way that the American government is proceeding with this evacuation. We have the ability to evacuate people en masse quickly, but there are human costs to such an evacuation that we must consider.

1. Funny that; I don't support the haste the American gov't |
|
showed (HA!!!), I'm glad people are getting out, and I suspect this government has (finally!) a plan, but stand by, for it will more than likely be nefarious.

2. In the real world, there must be contingencies for every conceivable |

event.
The State Department dropped the ball on this. Big time.
Incompetence in abundance.
