Is There Still A War In Iraq?
It has been over a week since I have heard about anything from Iraq on my TV. No more car bombing, assassinations, kidnapping and sectarian strife I guess. No more dead Iraqis and US soldiers? I wonder if the average faux viewer has noticed this?

1. According to Countdown last night, attacks are up 40% in two weeks...
...it's actually gotten WORSE, if you could imagine that. :(

4. I have been following Iraq news on the web
it is the folks that don't that concern me. Do they think it just went away?

I heard the term anarchy used describing Iraq from two different news sources the day before Israel's new war. That sure did get quashed.

17. Makes me wonder, did the Israeli government do this to help bu$h
and the republicans?

The attacks by Israel were based on a couple of kidnapped solders. Israel claims they were kidnapped by Hezbola and then starts attacking civilians in Lebanon.
Far worse things have happened than kidnapping a couple of people and no attacks, why these two??? Could it be that poor George and his cronies were down in the polls and couldn't divert the attention away from the disaster in Iraq any longer? They needed some outside diversion because outside of another 9/11 type attack they could not keep the support of a war in the Mid East going.
So poof, Israel attacks Lebanon, bu$h blames Syria and Iran and the support for expanded war will build and he can fulfill his PNAC agreement.

Just a thought or two.

3. On May 1, 2003
we officially Won the War. Perhaps you missed the Leader saying this. Hostilities ended, according to the Rules. Some cheaters and sore losers continue to make trouble, however.

14. I've found that
most of them blame "the troubles" on VP Cheney. I tell them that they are half-way to the truth. Once one recognizes the puppeteer is is a creep, it doesn't make sense to try to focus on the good qualities of the puppet.

21. Well, If That's True. . .
. . .then what we would be "cutting and running" from? If the war is over, there would be nothing from which to cut & run! No?

Apparently, we're being shown once again that only one news story can exist at any given time.

12. Is there still a war in Iraq?
The media may not be covering it, but the troops certainly
are, and it doesn't match the rosey picture the white house
would like to paint:

Is the government still listening to our phone calls without a warrant?
Is there still a Guantanamo Bay? Has anybody been tried yet?
Is gasoline still over $3 a gallon?
Are we going to get screwed by the gas and electric company again this winter?
Is Halliburton still taking our money?
Are there still campaign-finance-criminals representing us in Congress?
Is Bush still promulgating his "signing statements" when he enacts legislation that he will never follow?
Is the TIA program still up and running?
Do we still have the new Bankruptcy Law?
Does Karl Rove still have a security clearance?
Is Dan Rather still in exile?
Are there still high levels of arsenic in our drinking water?
Have they raised the minimum wage yet?
Is the National Debt still spiralling into the trillions?
Are there still Neocon Bushist Loyalists on the Supreme Court?
Is John Bolten still our UN Ambassador?

27. Israel/Lebanon is very serious, but
I always wonder when the media diverts our attention from Iraq to something else, what is it they don't want us to know about?

Did that report come out yet about the massacre in Haditha?
