USA citizens, for the most part, do not know the horrors of war.
They cheer it on as if it is something to do...like watching a football game. It breaks up their otherwise boring and dreary lives.
We are in trouble folks.

tabloid journalism, a.k.a. the MSM has turned it into a spectator sport, complete with theme songs and gee-awesome-cool graphics with (not so) witty little blurbs on them, just like the 'fake news' show, the Daily Show.
The Daily Show, ironically, has more journalistic integrity than any mainstream news publication these days, sadly enough... the blurbs have a great deal more wit.

come to mind. Built in defense mechanisms (by Intelligent Design? :dunce: ) that allow humans to over-ride common sense in exchange for one set of delusions or another.
It is these so-called 'defense mechanisms', of course, that will allow the Fatal Mistake to pass by and bring about the Extinction of the Species.
Who says irony is dead?
