E- channel - working RW memes into popular culture

I don't usually watch that, but yesterday while flipping channels, I got caught into a " 50 Confessions" countdown. So, there, among Angelina Jolie and Michael jackson, high up on the list, they get "newsmen": Brokaw's shocking announcement that...he retires, Jenings that he had cancer, and Rather - that...he falsified a story. Yup. "A story about Preznit Bush" - cue in Dimsum waving to adoring crowd - then Rather's network madated act of contrition.
Forget about the fact that these days he says it loud and clear - the AWOL story is true, "E" didn't bother to even hint what the story was.
Higher yet on the list was...you guessed - Clinton with "I had inappropriate relations". Complete with the dress with animated DNA with his head on it.
No "I 16 words in the SOTU" shocker, or "I actually did know that man, Ken"

And this is how they manipulate the collective memory , they make history. That damn liberal Hollywood!
