How Very Nixonian Of You, Mr. Bush
by georgia10
Fri Jul 21, 2006

When the domestic spying scandal broke, there was a huge focus on the President's lawyers ("he was just following their advice"), or on General Hayden ("it was his idea!") or on Vice-President Cheney ("it's just another step in Cheney's quest to restore executive power").

Well, let there be no doubt now. The President himself is leading a cover-up.

First, let's talk about recent developments with the Arlen Specter's bill. The bill, as you recall, does not require the President to submit the program for review to the FISA court. But, according to Specter, the President pinky-promised that he would seek approval of the program, so apparently, that makes everything better.

According to today's article by Dan Eggen http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/07/20/AR2006072001708.html in the Washington Post, the bill has hit some roadblocks. Not only are Democrats forcefully pushing back against the President's bill (there's no point in calling "Specter's bill" anymore when the President drafted his demands into it, right?), but Republicans themselves are not jumping aboard the screw-the-American-citizen bandwagon.

Who Will Prosecute Bush for a Double Felony?
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Fri, 07/21/2006
A BUZZFLASH NEWS ANALYSIS

We just wanted to repeat again -- because the mainstream press, with few exceptions, is letting it pass, as are the Democratic leaders on the Hill -- that Bush has now committed a double felony.

This is no exaggeration.

Bush himself admitted to violating the law when he authorized illegal domestic spying and bypassed the special court that is legally empowered to oversee such spying. Then, the Attorney General of the United States testified to Congress that Bush personally prohibited Justice Department staff from investigating the illegal spying.

That's called obstruction of justice.

In essence, it's a double felony.

2. We have his lawyers word on that?
bush couldn't lead a band, it's been proven.

He is tired, not behaving in public, and the puppet masters need a scape goat. All part of the plan.

21. It could be a sign of my own incipient insanity, due to the stress
of living in this nation where a Rapture Cultist, also a member in good standing of the Cult of Suffering (called by its own the "pro-life movement"), rules as the Unitary Executive and Warmonger-in-Chief, but I'm beginning to wonder if your contention may not be true!

Certainly there are abundant indications, now being witnessed by Americans who view even ten minutes of "news" daily, that our Chimperor is losing it, bigtime. The snorts, the shots of 180-proof, or the powerful psychotropic meds apparently aren't working well enough anymore for him to keep up even a semblance of acceptable social behavior. And he doesn't seem to care, which is yet another in the list of bulletpoints we should be aware of as we watch the humiliating debacle unfold.

It could be that he firmly believes, living in his Bubble the way he does, that he can do absolutely whatever he wants no matter how offensive or decadent, how bizarre and even illegal, and never be stopped or held accountable.

BUT it could also mean he has simply lost every semblance of social judgment and of self-control as his substance abuse, his false piety, and his arrogance reach the most extreme levels ever seen. (Can you imagine the sorts and quantities of good drugs available to a pResident?? I'm sorry to say I can!)

And if he has indeed been "in charge" in Washington as some members of his staff have claimed (under promise of anonymity of course, and to the shock of many) since the early days of his unlawful reign, then this tipping point it seems he's reached in his own sanity battle could mean his staff and fellow conspirators in the overthrow of due process and every other legal protection guaranteed citizens in our Constitution have concluded they will have to sacrifice him in order to save themselves and their PNAC plan-in-progress!

Yikes! It's all so frighteningly crazy I'm not even sure what to hope for!....

 :scared: :yoiks:

26. Do remember who was in charge of picking his running mate in 2000.
None other than Dead Eye Dick his own bad self. And it is fair to guess the George W was NOT chosen as front man for his sparkling resume. The neocon puppet masters knew about W's personality disorders and addictive tendencies. They knew he hated Babs and Poppy enough that he would be malleable so long and the handlers showed him how to stick it to his old man.

Seems fair they knew he would wear out before they did, but work long enough to give them cover to put their tools in place.

That's all done. The reins are firmly in the hands of the corportists owing to media failure to keep public informed in timely manner (2000 coup could never have happened without them), the US Congress being cuckolded by the men fucking the nation, and puppets in DOJ insisting if the pRes does it, it's legal (even Nixon's DOJ balked at that one).

They don't need the front man anymore. He's tired and obviously wants to go home... where ever that is.

The MBA pResident, ruled by the board of directors of Corporate World is really a non-entity now.

And he knows it, deep inside.

Know about the Terrible Twos? It's when an infant/child figures out he really isn't the center of the universe and boss of everyone. But the child isn't sure if YOU know that truth, so he gets VERY pushy in the attempt to keep you hopping and thinking he is in charge.

George W. bush's terrible twos are not pretty. Not safe for the world either.

And where is Dick right now? Running the shadow government while his side show falls apart.

Poor George, he thought his parents were cold.....

Since he didn't complete his military obligation, cut him some orders as a private and send him to Iraq where he can be point man for an infantry platoon untill he buys the farm.

I wouldn't want to be a grunt in that unit.

7. George Bush = Richard Nixon x 10.
What we have here is Watergate, multiplied by 10.

Laws are being broken, steps are being taken to cover up the actions, lies are being told, documents shredded or made top secret to prevent others from having access - all in the name of security, of course.

We need a media and a few elected officials with guts to stand up and do something to put a stop to it.

9. I think you're being unfair to Nixon.
This country has never before seen anything comparable to the Bushoilini regime. I think that's part of why it's taken so long for even a relatively few people to get our heads around it. There's almost no rhetoric that can be regarded as too extreme in characterizing the corruption of this cabal ... and it's nearly impossible for the least-informed 90% of this country to grasp how criminal their behavior has been as they look around and still go shopping and their TVs still pump the same ol' shit into their living rooms.

10. Exactly, many Americans aren't paying attention
But when gas hits $4 a gallon, they will wake up. For now, they are busy with their jobs, their hobbies, watching the same ole TV, shopping, eating in restaurants, etc. When they can't pay bills because they have to buy gas, it will hit them hard.

25. "Concise" and "succinct" are a challenge for me.
I'm too often repetitive and wordy when I speak/rant, so I regard those who can speak concisely and succinctly, while keeping on-target, quite highly. Thus, I take your feedback as a high compliment and appreciate it very much. Thank you!

Expressing my deep disdain for this regime has been a "learning experience" - in too many ways.

24. And People Should Be Out in the Streets Every Day in Outrage!
Where's that bumper sticker, "No One Died when Clinton Lied?"

I mean where is the OUTRAGE?? I understand the MSM doesn't cover protests much, or the Iraq War, I understand that we have so few journalsists of integrity covering this outrage that they are only on Liberal talk radio because the MSM cable channels sure won't carry them.

You are right, in so many ways, and it is so unbeleivably vile and evil. I just dont have words to describe how I feel. When Watergate went down the media was all over it, but now??? Where are they?? Hey, we have war in Iraq, based on lies, and now Middle East is in Flames!! Where is the Media??

Is to get our own people in office. They don't listen to anybody but the people they are indebted to after they get into office, so we better make sure they are indebted to the right people.

29. I hope you're right.
I'm concerned that this mal-administration may huddle to discuss their game plan as things go from bad to worse and decide for "the decider" that he has to go before the backlash takes the rest of them down with him.

I can imagine a scenario where, instead of special prosecutor and/or Congressional investigations that reveal to the public many of the illegal actions in documentation they might obtain through subpoena, we see the neocons and their elite corporate controllers wisely decide to simply DUMP the Chimp and hope the rest of the cabal remains intact to carry on with their work.

Even though Nixon took the option of resigning just before he was about to be impeached after many investigations, at least we got a chance to see just what sort of ship he'd been running because of what those investigations turned up. However, since the current wimpy and complicit Congress has not seen fit to launch any substantial investigations of Dubya and his staff and cabinet, I can see how the entire mal-administration might very well go on without him just as it's been doing with him up front. He'd make a perfect fall guy, right?

It's even conceivable that, with another face in the White House till the end of this term, the ratbastards who are really running things could rebuild a more positive image for the Repugs before the '08 elections!

Man, there's just no end to the conniving permutations these guys can come up with to evade just retribution!
