It's Not a Coalition Anymore, It's an Umbrella
Condi is leaving for Israel on Sunday, not to ask them to stop blowing up Lebanon but to build an “umbrella” of Arab nations that will stand and say they are against Hizballah. This administration reportedly has plans to harness this chaos as a “leadership moment” for Bush that could wind up helping his flagging goal of transforming the Middle East.

Rice was to announce her plans at a briefing this afternoon, officials said. Officials were using the word “umbrella” instead of “coalition” to avoid reminders of the struggling coalition the U.S. led into Iraq.

Who comes up with this shit, Turd Blossom? So the Administration is finally admitting to failure in Iraq because they know the “coalition” wasn’t much of a coalition. Brace yourselves for non-stop coverage of the “Umbrella of the Willing.”

Umbrellas have played a large part in some of Bush's finest leadership moments.
