"You do some hard things," he said. "It's hard work to defeat the terrorists." "We've got some powerful weapons on our side. The men and women in uniform...freedom," he said. "These are powerful weapons." http://www.denverpost.com/ci_4079866

And then I read the article.
It's like he's become a parody of himself - if that's possible.

The president's motorcade passed a few lone protesters, including one on a bike holding a sign that said, "Proud of America, Ashamed of Bush," on their way to Cherry Hills Village, but not the largest group, located about a mile away from the fundraiser site.
There, Democratic congresswoman Diana DeGette led about 200 protesters, many holding signs with red letters that said "Shame" to denounce the president's veto earlier this week of DeGette's bill supporting embryonic stem cell research.
"Are you mad today?" DeGette asked the crowd, which cheered. "I'm mad, too. I'm mad because President Bush is just a mile that way, of course in a sealed-off enclave raising money for an anti-embryonic stem cell research candidate."
