Traditional Values Coalition refers to Transgendered as "She-Males"

This term is usually regarded as being derogatory.

But, the TVC uses it as a name for them.

1. it is derogatory but there is still so much bigotry directed towards

trans-folk even within the gay community that the people who DO use terms like this rarely get called on it, it happens here all the time on DU when people start in with their Mann COulter stuff. This makes the DU trans-folk cringe. Try speaking up sometime on here when somebody uses does this and watch what happens. the person usually gets shouted down, that's how ingrained the bigotry towards the transgendered is.

I wasn't aware TVC was considered a hate group by SPLC but that doesn't surprise me.

Which is doubtless why the Traditional Values Coalition uses the term: most of what they know about human sexuality (and sex in general) they learned by studying blue movies :rofl:

7. Actually in porn the term is quite specific.

It refers to the subset of transgendered biological males who have taken on female physical characteristics, including typically breast implants and hormone therapy, but have kept their male genitalia. The more crass term is 'chicks with dicks'. Not that I would know anything about this of course.
