let's us dems spy on electronic voting
Edited on Fri Jul-21-06 05:46 PM by blues90
We have three months , there must be a way we can find out where the polling places are and have mock vent cleaning crews or maintainence crews come in and while doing this work setup cameras on timers so we can film the entire thing , at least at the suspect areas .

Perhaps it's time to be a bit underhanded and get the jump on the rupugs . It would be the american inventive thing to do .

3. How about signing up with your local political party to participate as
a poll clerk, poll inspector, poll judge, poll monitor?

How about doing election protection a la' People for the American Way to make sure that voters don't get stuck with provisional ballots when they should not get them?

How about working on campaigns to Get Out The Vote to make sure that all attempts at disenfranchisement of voters is mitigated?

No need to spy - GET INVOLVED so that you are not only watching, you are part of making decisions at the polls!

4. did that in 2000
It's not as simple as it seems , what you need to do is get like friends involved far ahead of time because there was no way on earth I was able to keep track of much , I had to deal with many other people . Some polling places break the voters down by the first letter of their last name to go into different rooms to vote . I don't see the reason behind this , the line was not that long . As people came in the first thing you do is find their name on the list then direct them to the proper room and then have them sign in then they get their ballot , we used punch card machines here and still do . But one person being honest is not enough , however here there was not a problem with the voting , so far it is punch cards and you see then picked up but you cannot go any further than this .

I would not discourage anyone from doing this work , it is not difficult but you do need to get involved early to get a vital position .
