3. Nice
verbal gymnastics, but the term, as it's popularly used, refers to anti-jewish. Technically you're correct, but then again, technically, we don't think seahorses are actually horses either. But I get your point.

12. What is my political purpose?

Sorry, but as a semite myself (of the non-jewish kind), I don't go calling people that don't like me anti-semitic. Stop being so self-righteous. Yes, exact langauage is important, but quibbling about what anti-semitic means is crap in light of what it has evolved to mean. I.e. words and their meanings change over time. Or do you still remark "how gay" when describing a happy time?

15. What do you call the people that don't like your people?
I mean in intellectual sense. Not just "shit head" or something.

17. Well,
I'm not muslim, but islamaphobe seems to be the general term. Anti-arab etc..

I've never heard anti-semitic though.

Although shithead sounds about right as well.

19. OK, but how often do you hear "anti-jew?"
Which is what people usually mean when they say "anti-semite."

I can't speak for Matcom, but I think that his point is that arabs and jews are essentially the same people and that hatred of one is (im)morally equivalent to the hatred of the other.

11. Nonsense.
One could wonder why you want to change the meaning of a common word. I think I know, but that would be speculation.

20. AntiSemitism
From Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-semitism

Despite the use of the prefix "anti," the terms Semitic and Anti-Semitic are not antonyms. To avoid the confusion of the misnomer, many scholars on the subject (such as Emil Fackenheim of the Hebrew University) now favor the unhyphenated term antisemitism. Yehuda Bauer articulated this view in his writings and lectures: (the term) "Antisemitism, especially in its hyphenated spelling, is inane nonsense, because there is no Semitism that you can be anti to.")<6><7>

The term anti-Semitism has historically referred to prejudice towards Jews alone, and this was the only use of this word for more than a century. It does not traditionally refer to prejudice toward other people who speak Semitic languages (e.g. Arabs or Assyrians). Bernard Lewis, Professor of Near Eastern Studies
