My newest book, in editing right now, is going to be dedicated to my two boys, as my very first novel was, but the next one--which has already been written and is currently in a holding pattern due to the editor's full schedule, will be dedicated to this place...to the true patriots who make this their internet home, people who understand, almost instinctively, the truth of Spider Robinson's saying (the book is meant as something of a tribute to his work) that "Shared pain is halved, and shared joy is doubled."
That's what this is all about, isn't it?

and you know, the entire planet is hungry for the right words comrade. may just be me, but i been feeling it everywhere i go.
those that say "go to war now, kill the enemy" have their loved ones carefully tucked away in safe bunkers and care not about the carnage. but it has become global. nearly everyone has been touched and can see the insanity of the slaughter.

...and I should have known...sorry...I'll check out your books immediately. I'm embarrassed to admit that I know more about the SF/Fantasy of the 1940-60 era than I do today's scene...though I am trying to change that...am also an (unpublished, of course) writer myself...am trying to change that, too...thanks for the news about the dedication. That's a nice thing to think about going to bed...:-)...
