I’m not antisemantic
some of my best friends are words.

got you,
didn't I ????? ....

Easy now,
they are just words,
and not human beings,
words do not bleed, cut, hurt and die
like humans do
at least non-metaphorically.

8. You are right...The scars are much deeper
even though they can never be really seen
they can linger longer than the real thing

for the blood and pain that words can express
will never win over the world
or words

of peace and love.

10. They are powerful indeed, but only empowerment is that which is
given.

12. Get real! Get actual! Get a clue!
"Words DO CUT,cause bleeding, hurt and death!! n/t" - That's a bit like saying that the Danish Mohammed cartoons killed people and started riots. And when exactly did a symbol, any symbol, ever cause bleeding, hurt, and death or start a riot?

13. Nice point
The question again Can rhetoric make a totalities of you existence to

so do the scars caused by the physical world
negate the scars caused by rhetoric.?

i don't want to be pro semantic or anti semantic on this?

but a great person caught this on this thread my taint with existentialism

existentialism states that man exists

and in that existence man defines himself ...

Sometimes religiously
metaphorically
or

rhetorically.

14. Please define 'scars'.
Physical contact can result in scars. The interpretation of symbols is subjective - as in "man defines himself" and that's irrespective (characterized by disregard; heedless) of actuality.

18. Are you an abused child?
A child is akin to a prisoner - not fully functional and not fully fledged. What on earth made me think I was talking about fully functional, fully fledged adults? - Sorry I'd assumed too much.
