Hey Randi, Barbara Boxer Said She Didn't Want To Certify Electors in 2000,
but Al Gore had asked her not to protest the certification. Senator Boxer would have stood up for us in 2000 otherwise.
Please let's keep that detail of history straight. Boxer is a hero all the way!

I'd provide a link to that story, except that no news media seems to have an article about it. :eyes:
A few bloggers did post that information.
FWIW, I heard her say it on the news after she stood with Stephanie Tubbs Jones in January, 2005.

:patriot:

1. Gore let us down once and I'll never trust him again.
Hooray for Al Gore's recent speeches. I hope he keeps it up. But if he hopes to use them as a springboard back into presidential politics, he'll never get my support. I don't support wimps, and Gore was nothing but a wimp from November 2000 to January 2001.

Let Gore continue making speeches -- for Clark or Kucinich or some other leader. If I were Stephen Colbert, he'd be dead to me.

3. Move that to December, or did you forget the month long fight
for the White House he waged. The man did what he could.

As for presidential aspirations, he keeps repeating he's not interested. Just as well, I'd be afraid he'd have to moderate his views if he were to run again. I like this Gore of passion. But once he'd lost to the Supreme Court, he thought it best to just ratify the results and let that be that. It must have killed him to keep telling the Black Caucus to sit down. I'm glad Boxer got her chance this time. But I don't blame Gore.

4. Randi really likes to talk
talks all the time. She's an opinionated lady and that's ok, but sometimes she may not have all of the facts together before she talks. But she is the one progressive talk show host who has real competition from another progressive host, so I guess she has to do something.

5. I didn't post the OP to diss Randi. I just think she didn't know.
Who, if anyone, in the MSM reported that story about Boxer? I heard her say it -- that's how I knew. Sure didn't read it anywhere.

I like Randi's show very much. She's always informative and insightful. But she apparently missed Boxer's statement about 2000.

6. This isn't a diss of Al Gore either. He fought all the way to the corrupt
Supreme Court.

Randi was kinda ripping on the Senate Dems for not standing with the courageous CBC members who wanted to challenge the certification. She was saying that NOT ONE of the Senators would stand with them. I was just correcting that point.
