1. Let them know about it
Some have said they are cancelling their cable subscriptions. I will not go that far because I love my Cubs and must watch them, but a boycott of CNN does seem in order. But we have to tell them why.

6. CNN BOYCOTT?
If you really want to boycott CNN, it can be done. But I think I would reconsider and go about it another way if I may suggest. Boycott all the media, FOX News, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC. One of the ways you do this is flood these networks with hate mail like the republicans did in the eighties. The republicans were very wise in the eighties and they changed the whole outlook on the media, especially when FOX News was invented. CNN stayed pretty much on the liberal side until Ted Turner sold out to AOL and TimesWarner. You can start encouraging people to read, read, read. Get away from the TV. When you go into a doctor's office or a car dealership office and they have their TV set on FOX News, ask them can you turn it and let them know exactly how you feel about their fake news. When you go into a TV appliance store and everything is set on FOX News, tell the store owner they are too conservative, "I'm leaving". When you feel out the Arbitron ratings, don't vote for these corporate news media outlets. Vote for the independent channels. Beware about some of the movies you watch. People grade things on movies. Especially if it's conservative. When you go into music stores, even if you don't like groups like AntiFlag, request to hear them. Flood your radio stations with requests calls, letters, write letters to the editor and complain about the unfair media. Flood congress with letters about the media not being fair and balanced. Remember, the republican party educated their people in the eighties. That's why they have stayed in control so long. You can reverse it and it's going to take a little work and time and if you're willing, it can be done. Basically, what you are going to be doing is educating the misinformed and especially the naive people, or should I say brainwashed, who believe everything they hear from corporate media. I hope I've been some help and I'm sorry I rambled so long.

5. Don't you just love corporate media?
I'm going to say something here concerning the media. First of all, the GOP got smart. They got their people together and they started educating. They got their people to write constant letters to the media, downing the media for being too liberal, too far to the left, unfair and unbalanced. >>>

I agree completely. They created the myth of the 'librul' <sic> media and refused to stop banging the drum even after they completed their job. It's still said, ad nauseum, with Brent Bozo Bozell getting air time frequently, but people like Conason and Alterman who wrote well researched books debunking that mess, get zilch.>>>

They down CNN to the point they got rid of Judy Woodruff and others, And way before FOX ever came into the picture, CNN has always been accused of being the liberal media. And now, CNN is trying to be the popular one to get it's ratings back by saying they are fair and balanced. >>>

I personally believe Woodruff saw the writing on the wall and/or wasn't about to stay where her husband, a fantastic journalist, had been run off. CNN is playing to the right, strongly. As well as Mr. Blitzer, there is a steady stream of on air personalities that actively engage and argue with anyone left of center while acting as sycophants to the Bushies. Good grief, they've hired Bill Bennett and it's being reported at Media MAtters that they have also hired Glenn Beck http://mediamatters.org/items/200601170001. No moderation there.>>>

So I'm not sure if they are trying to lean to the middle and be fair and balanced or if they are aiming more at conservative. I really like Lou Dobbs. He seems to be a little more fair and balanced but he is only one hour show>>>

If Dobbs would get off the xenophobic rants, I'd agree.
