I'm going to say something here concerning the media. First of all, the GOP got smart. They got their people together and they started educating. They got their people to write constant letters to the media, downing the media for being too liberal, too far to the left, unfair and unbalanced. >>>
I agree completely. They created the myth of the 'librul' <sic> media and refused to stop banging the drum even after they completed their job. It's still said, ad nauseum, with Brent Bozo Bozell getting air time frequently, but people like Conason and Alterman who wrote well researched books debunking that mess, get zilch.>>>
They down CNN to the point they got rid of Judy Woodruff and others, And way before FOX ever came into the picture, CNN has always been accused of being the liberal media. And now, CNN is trying to be the popular one to get it's ratings back by saying they are fair and balanced. >>>
I personally believe Woodruff saw the writing on the wall and/or wasn't about to stay where her husband, a fantastic journalist, had been run off. CNN is playing to the right, strongly. As well as Mr. Blitzer, there is a steady stream of on air personalities that actively engage and argue with anyone left of center while acting as sycophants to the Bushies. Good grief, they've hired Bill Bennett and it's being reported at Media MAtters that they have also hired Glenn Beck

So I'm not sure if they are trying to lean to the middle and be fair and balanced or if they are aiming more at conservative. I really like Lou Dobbs. He seems to be a little more fair and balanced but he is only one hour show>>>
If Dobbs would get off the xenophobic rants, I'd agree.
