Desmund Tutu
uttered the questions that baffle us all.

"My heart aches," he said. "Why are our memories so short? Have our Jewish sisters and brothers forgotten their humiliation? Have they forgotten the collective punishment, the home demolition, in their own history so soon? Have they turned their backs on their profound and noble religious traditions? Have they forgotten that God cares deeply about the downtrodden?"

Israel and Apartheid South Africa: links...... here.

Listen I know the history
and nobody has played nice.

but peace, justice. reconciliation and nonviolence
can win over the sand and the sea.

1. The sand and sea will be all that remains...
when peace, justice, reconciliation and nonviolence are long-gone platitudes.

And the roaches and ants are scouting for sustenance.

But it was a Grand Ride, wasn't it?

9. I met the man at the Amsterdam Hilton ....
on my 25th birthday... well, okay, it was pretty much the morning after my 25th birthday, but still... I'm not going to say a damned thing bad about him, as a result.

:D
