The news that the US government is going to step up delivery of bombs
to the Israelis is outright wrong. Here we have the capability to throttle this war and they are not going to take advantage of it. When this info sinks in and the people of America don't wake up then I will begin to believe that maybe we have lost our democracy after all.

6. 'throttle this war?" Whatever for?
You don't throttle a war - you go for complete and total victory.
And that is what Isreal will do - against Hezbollah.
The Lebanese brought whatever destruction they incur upon themselves for not disarming Hezbollah over the last 6 years. They allowed Hezbollah to establish a sovereign feifdom in their country rather expel Hezbollah. They are now reaping what they have sown.

9. Umm....the resulting generations of hatred??
The fact that killing children and babies and innocents who happened to be in the way cause they didn't see this coming, is wrong???

Oh, never mind.

11. I find that to be most disturbing-
the idea that the lebanese brought this upon themselves. Surely you must realize that they didn't have the ability to disarm Hezbollah. Your comments are, at best, callous. The Lebanese are innocents caught up in this war between Hezbollah and Israel.

12. It is good of you to explain to the Okie about war
He may have forgotten, it has been 40 years. But I doubt it, those things stay with you a lifetime. Where did you come by all your war fighting expertise? Which bloody battles are you a veteran of? You must have been a pilot flying high above the chaos of the killing field to speak as you do of killing fellow humans.

I am always interested in knowing how many people you have personally killed, an estimate will do. Did you ever look one of them in the eye? You seem to very little problem with it, you obviously have no nightmares, you must have a great shrink or really good meds. Either that or you are simply souless...

7. But we can't ask for a cease fire as that would only delay the violence
Condi uttered those historic words.. It is as if they actually thrive on violence..

8. Not "thrive on violence" exactly
Somebody is thriving on profits from selling war machines.

13. So even if this one event were to actually wake people up
(not bloody likely), how would that stop the delivery of the bombs?

"Here we have the capability to throttle this war and they are not going to take advantage of it."

So who has the capability? We or they? I say neither.

14. Why won't they step up gear shipments to our troops in Iraq and
Afghanistan.

If people in the US are o.k. with this I'm a-fucking shamed.

We are paying for he bombs that are killing kids in Iraq and Lebanon.

People support this?

17. I don't understand this. Why is U.S. supporting the devastation of Lebanon
Why is Condi saying a cease-fire would bring false-hope?

Why are we speeding up shipments of bombs to Israel for them to use against Lebanon?

Why did Bush "give" Israel one more week to bomb the heck out of Lebanon?

What is going on?
