Why is it when Democrats/Liberal see pain and misery Conservatives see $$$ |
|
It doesn't matter whether it is by war or natural disaster Republicans always see money to be made and never see the suffering and misery that is occurring. I believe this is one of the main reasons they want Global Warming to happen. They feel they can cash in "Big Time" ...You know Johnnie/Halliburton on the spot..That is the main reason they stop all measures to fix problems before they occur. Why they fight Nationalized Health Care, why they allowed Katrina to destroy as much as it did and why as long as they are in control there will be one disaster after another while Halliburton's Profits soar "up up and away" These are the most despicable people on the face of the planet. Profit on other's misery and suffering. It is what they are all about and they claim the mantle of Christianity while doing it. How much longer must this go on????

2. Good question. I have another. Why do they lack the forethought |
|
that they will also be in the sinking boat that they have created? Are they suicidal or just have a desire to watch a human experiment in misery and destruction?

6. I think they have the view that given enough $$$ they can "fix" anything |
|
I really believe they feel they can fix it no matter what it is and really deep down don't think Global Warming will be any real problem, only opportunity. They live in a fantasy land where they are all supermen. That is why Iraq is such a debacle. They truly thought they were invincible and that the Iraqi people would shake with fear and do anything the US told them to. They are baffled at how badly things are going but the money is still pouring in so they "Stay the Course"..In fact they want to expand things a bit so even more money will be forthcomeing before they get their asses thrown out of government. They want to be set for life and the life of their children and they will be...

8. Maybe there is a comfort factor of "all being in the same boat." |
|
Maybe they are relying on some genius to fix what they have torn up, but this isn't logical when they are creating an environment of every man for himself with no end in sight.

3. It's the difference in the 'moral' makeup, the moral essence if you will, |
|
of the two parties. Those that are more selfish, elitist, self-serving, petty, and unrealistic gravitate toward the republican party. Those who see the big picture, how it relates to other human beings, think that fairness and equality are more than just abstract ideas but real concepts to be applied to government and the treatment of others gravitate toward the democratic party.

9. Not when they are pushing a line of encroachment in which the |
|
oppressed will not allow any further encroachment, but I guess they would beg for diplomacy at that breaking point and throw some of their stolen money at the problem, but then it will be too late for everyone.

10. It's also true that ...... |
|
It's also true that every single decision this amin has made has resulted in the richest 1 or 2% getting richer. And the rest of us are getting poorer, maybe not to the point where we are feeling it yet, but we will sure feel it in the future for generations to com.

"The Economy" does not care how money is made. Got cancer? Someone's gonna make a TON of money off of keeping you alive, no matter how horrible you feel. Israel is bombing Lebanon? Oooops! Better expedite the shipment of precision guided bombs, before it's all over, or the manufacturer won't profit from this particular mess! It's all pluses on the balance sheet!
The conservative agenda is to destroy government and privatize everything. They've been trying to do this at least since Ronald Reagan, and this particular stinky little Bush has taken it to new levels. They are succeeding. And I think it's being proven once and for all that their vision for the future is pretty f*cked up. They're being destructive so that once it's all over, they can buy up everything at firesale prices.
Personally, I think it's time to crash the economy as we know it and build a new one. One based on less rather than more, quality rather than price, and equality rather than scarcity.
Fuck Halliburton!!!
