Okay, what a mealy-mouthed collection of weasel-words that one was.

Yeah, the tomb is a really calm place.

Reminds me of "We had to destroy the village in order to save it," except less honest.

5. It is calm when hezbollah stops attacking Israel.
Things are not "calm" while rockets are free to fly from Lebanon into Israel.

Israel did not want it to come to this, but a ground invasion appears to be the next step necessary to bring calm.

8. You are missing the point here.
I am talking about the Weasel-words.

If you are extinguishing all life in these border towns, and pulverizing everything into gravel to remove any trace of a chance that Hezzbolla could possibly be there or use those towns, SAY SO.

Because it is entirely clear that is the intention of the shelling.

Don't sugar coat your war. Say what you are doing in plain words, and say why you are doing it in plain words.

6. You know just watching the 3 cables it looks like this to me.
A well outfitted military which look like our Am. troops that have been on TV for 3 years moving in to a country with no military at all and driving families from their homes and running for their lives. Taking two men as prisoners does not even hit a bell in my head. This looks like one sided aggression, and done with Bush saying it is fine. I see the whole Islamic world turning against us and Israel. I think this is even a bigger error than us going into Iraq.
