Coulter on the 700 club yesterday: "If evolution were true..."
"...we'd be sprouting tails every few seconds." (She evidently doesn't even understand what the word "evolution" means.)

She also claimed evolution tells tall tales about "bears falling in the water and becoming whales."

Gordon Robertson praised her for having courage to tell the truth and giving him points to use in debates against evolutionists.

Is something wrong with Coulter's brain? Seriously. She has the glazed over look of someone with a concussion.

6. I don't see this person as promoting her at all. The OP is pointing out
that this idiot is looked up to by hundreds of thousands (I will not credit her with millions.) That she is 'known' as an author and columnist that supports the republican party with her ignorant and totally baseless beliefs and opinions. And who is so scientfically ignorant she has the theory of evolution backwards.

What a stupid creature. And I read here that she's a lawyer. I don't understand that. She's seems to me to be as intellectually limited as someone who barely made it through junion high.

31. She is a republican tool she will say anything they tell her to
...that is why she "appears" to be a drug user (Like Rush)...her extreme points of view match her extreme low weight(what no appetite?) the excessive darting of her eyes....
they never do seem to find anywhere to pause....they are constantly jumping about....
the tightness of her lips they seem to be stretched over her teeth as if they were clenched....this "clenching"....which most drug addicts exhibit has produced an Adams Apple in Ann's throat....you can visibly see the clench when she starts to talk...it's as if her voice is being strangulated.....very odd and TELLING...............

I have read many people who say they see the same "symptoms".

She has been very well "funded" by The Rutherford Institute.

She is a hired clown

7. I'm just reporting on a trainwreck I happened to see yesterday.
;)

It's astonishing to hear this daughter of Satan spew the words "we Christians" out of her hellacious mouth and see Gordon Robertson's sanctimonious mug take it in approvingly.

5. this tells us something about our opponents.
We all sort of know this already, but the fact that the dumbasses consider "If evolution were true we'd be sprouting tails every few seconds" to be a legitimate argument means we're dealing with people who just don't give a shit about reality. We can't beat them with logic or evidence, so what do we do?

Even better if the psychiatrist is a registered Republican.

32. apparently it was suggested in the original "origin of species":
In North America the black bear was seen by Hearne swimming for hours with widely open mouth, thus catching, like a whale, insects in the water. Even in so extreme a case as this, if the supply of insects were constant, and if better adapted competitors did not already exist in the country, I can see no difficulty in a race of bears being rendered, by natural selection, more and more aquatic in their structure and habits, with larger and larger mouths, till a creature was produced as monstrous as a whale.

– Charles Darwin, Origin, ch. 6

Apparently, though, this suggestion was not well received even in Darwin's day, and he had the passage removed from later editions of Origin. This according to Darwin Central: http://www.darwincentral.org/blog/2006/06/14/inannities-part-ii/

33. Ah. So it was a speculation by Darwin twisted to fit her agenda
Thanks for the citation.

So Darwin posited that bears COULD evolve to something whale-like, not that they did. Therefore all of evolution theory is wrong. Got it!

42. The modern theory is that whales are descended from an ancestor
they have in common with hippos. But again, even Darwin did not mean that bears would have magically become whales. The phrase "by natural selection" has a meaning that is totally antithetical to magical explanations--as I know you know, and as Ann Coulter clearly doesn't bother to know.

16. It is easy to bash things you can not fathom. I would advise Ann to pick
up the book "Full House" by Stephen J. Gould, it is a shorter book by Prof. Gould standards and it is packed with solid science on evolution. But again, her limited vocabulary and intellect would hamper her from reading a rational, science base text written by one of the greatest minds of the 20th/21st century. It is a wounderful read that describes evolution not as latter of increasing complexity but as a spread or bush and he also uses a baseball example to help explain it in one section. It makes the case that evolution does not exist to create man. A common mistake that most ID and Creationists make!

Now think about the last time you saw a person who regularly took amphetamines (speed).

Any similarities?

Just a thought.

She's just running her mouth and pulling things out of her ass to take command of the conversation. I doubt that she truly beleives the shit that she spews. But with a neocon bankroll and Meth, she'll spew anything and everything. As outrageous and bizzare as it may be.

30. bears becoming whales could be just the solution Colbert has been
pushing the powers that be to find for our national problem with bears--those godless killing machines.

Evolution may just save us from bears. If we can just get them wet, they'll turn into harmless, lovable whales.
