Stem Cell Research question... |
|
Ok, the frozen embryos (all 400,000+ of them) get destroyed…According the Christianity, does the embryo have a soul? If so, to heaven they go…! Right? And if the embryos are used for stem cell research, the embryo basically dies, thusly to heaven it goes too, right. SO WHAT’S THE BIG FUCKING DEAL????
Can anyone enlighten me on this, cause I must be missing the boat here.

2. I think they're just trying to tie these embryos to abortion. |
|
That issue has been such a winner for them, they're trying to broaden it!

saying that in order to get "embryos" for stem cell research, a woman HAD to have an abortion!! For the longest time the right has ignored the fact that these 8 cells are leftovers from fertility clinics that will go into the trash if they're not used for research! Very few will ever be "adopted" (snowflake babies).

7. I know, I heard about that comment. What a jerk! |

I still can't understand why the Dems aren't more vocal in calling him out on his LIES?
And don't give me the BS about not being in power either! There is a pool of reporters waiting outside of the halls of congress all the time, and they'd be thrilled with some strong response to the RW claims!!!!

They'd have to be baptized on their way to the hopper in other to go to heaven. Catholicism is cruel to women because it's also cruel to infants that die before they can be sprinkled and mumbled over.
Never mind that every fetus sits in water (amniotic fluid) and can theoretically be "baptized" in utero. Never mind that the discarded embryos will go into water as they are flushed. If it's not holy water in a chutch, the Church gets all bent out of shape and refuses to acknowledge that any church member in good standing can perform baptisms.
It's one of those curious contradictory belief systems.
Dead, unbaptized infants at all stages used to be sent to a place called Limbo, a happy celestial daycare center outside the gates of Heaven. They did away with Limbo a couple of years ago.

6. I'm not sure, but I think the Catholic Church abandoned that idea. |

I know I heard that several places, including Bernie War on Sun. AM's.
