How Do We Win If Joe Lieberman Wins As An Independent? |
|
Am I missing something?
He will probably vote for a Democrat for Majority leader if it's a 50-49-1 tie but he will be on his own after that.

1. It's looking like Holy Joe will lose as an Indy. |
|
Rasmussen has Ned up 10 points in the primary and even with The Holy One in the general election. Once Ned is the candidate, he will be even stronger.

4. I think as much as it is a positive for Lamont (the poll) it is about the |
|
perception that Sen. Lieberman would be willing to jeopardize a dem majority in the senate by running as an independent - and the perception that he is trying to have his cake and eat it, by collecting signatures to be an independent candidate, while running in the dem primary, that has lowered his polling numbers in a hypothetical three-way race. Sen. Lieberman, it would appear, has lost the ability to 'read' his constituency.

then if he wins as a Democrat. What is the GOP candidate like??
On Edit: Joe will not be eligible for any chairmanships, etc. if he wins as an independant. So I guess there is a silver lining after all.

The good news in that poll is the Repuke finishes third, any way you slice it -- and by a lot.

6. Who wants Lieberman to win as an independent? |
|
Once Lamont wins the Democratic primary, Holy Joe is finished. The Democrats, at least the real ones, will rally to Lamont in the general election. Lieberman will deflate like a pricked balloon once the primary is over.

That would be helpful?
What if the Pug drops out of the race and Lieberman the Indy runs against Lamont the Dem?

15. I don't have the exact figures. |
|
But I believe roughly half are independent, and there are more Democrats than Republicans of those remaining.

Joe-mentum is only for Joe-mentum. . .not the people of Connecticut, not for the Democratic Party and not for the United States. What's good for Joe is good for Joe.
Fuck him and let him settle on the shit heap of history!

11. The worst thing Lieberman could have done was say he was going to run as |
|
an independent.
It killed his chances in the primary. Once he loses that primary, he will not be able to recover as the Democrats will vote for the Democrat on the ballot.

ashamed to be a former resident of Connecticut. At least where I lived, the people seemed 1/2 bright.
But since "Zoidberg" Lieberman is a Republican in all but name, would the Repub candidate just drop out? May as well, since he's Shrub's tongue buddy.
