Gloom, Despair and Agony on me...WOAH!
Tell me something GOOD! It's been a long time since I heard anything good! Almost six years now.

More and more people are becoming more and more outraged at the USA policies, especially with more and more media coverage. Perhaps something will be able to be changed if this continues.

8. Well now...that's better!
I have beer but I don't have much to celebrate! Except...that I do have beer!

I guess what I need is an old fashioned Vietnam era "Attitude Check"

3. Well, I got through a cancer scare...so far, so good.
I still have to have check-ups 3 times a year to make sure I stay OK but well, so far, so good. I'm happy to be alive. Might not be good news to some, but it's fucking great news to me.

7. "Hee Haw" isn't shooting new episodes.
I always loved those moaning sessions, however.

"Gloom, despair, and agony on me.
Deep dark depression, excessive misery.
If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.
Gloom, despair, and agony on me."

11. Well the incompetence of the idiots running the country is so obvious
it can only continue if we sit back and do nothing. If you believe doing something about what is going on is going to be easy than yea you should be depressed.

14. With the addition of two black-out shades on bedroom windows,
the barely functioning-- on its last legs-- central air, a high-speed Hitachi fan on high, and a mini-swamp cooler filled with ice water... I'm now able to get one room of my condo down to a cool 86 degrees (from 96) when I woke up, drenched in wet, sticky sheets-- my dog panting and pacing enough to shake the floors.

She's even been able to snooze for, oh, five minutes or so at a time...So, that's my good news for the day... Oh, and we haven't lost electricity, knock on wood...

I so look forward to our future in this ever hotter globablly warmed world... My dearest wishes to the home bound elderly and fragile of St. Louis and other areas, who have lost electricity and are sweltering...

16. I went through that last summer, when a storm took out our power
for almost a week. I kept thinking about the elderly people in Baghdad.

I was glad I had my Coleman camp stove and lanterns. My AC was broken down about a month ago and it was hard to survive in the 90 degree heat. I hope you and you dog get some relief soon.

ducking anything that comes flying this way, but our tomatos are getting ripe and ready. I'm afraid that's the best I can do.
