The Ugly Truth About the President

By Cenk Uygur, HuffingtonPost.com. Posted July 19, 2006.

The transcript of the President's latest mishap with a microphone reveals the undeniable fact that Bush is an imbecile.
You know it, I know it and the American people know it. But everyone is afraid to say it. They say it privately, but people are afraid of saying it publicly because you will be branded as a liberal, elite, intellectual snob. But believe me, you don't have to be an intellectual to see how painfully stupid our president is.

Just look at the conversation he is having with world leaders at the G-8 summit. Mikes picked up the casual talk between the world leaders. Forget that Bush appears to have three sandwiches in his mouth while talking. Forget that he calls out to the Prime Minister of Britain as if he is Flounder in "Animal House." Forget that he uses profanity. I don't give a shit about those things.

I thought it was ridiculous that people made fun of George H. W, Bush for vomiting on the Japanese Prime Minister. What was he going to do? He had to puke, so he puked. It happens to the best of us, and more importantly, has nothing to do with his intelligence or how capable he is as a leader.

But his son's verbal vomit does have a lot to do with his ability to lead this country and the world. What I found to be the most damning is the least quoted part of Bush's comments. As you read this transcript, remember that this is not a small child talking, but the President of the United States of America:

The camera is focused elsewhere and it is not clear whom Bush is talking to, but possibly Chinese President Hu Jintao, a guest at the summit.

Bush: "Gotta go home. Got something to do tonight. Go to the airport, get on the airplane and go home. How about you? Where are you going? Home?

Bush: "This is your neighborhood. It doesn't take you long to get home. How long does it take you to get home?"

Reply is inaudible.

Bush: "Eight hours? Me too. Russia's a big country and you're a big country."

7. He's wallowing in it, because
it's been held up by his dumbass supporters as one of his best qualities. As in, we're fucking ignorant and we want our president to be "one of us". Intellectualism is considered a weakness, education an indulgence and critical thinking a crime against the State, not to mention God.

Our educational system has sucked for so long, and our current situation is a direct result.

10. Counterpoint
Bush is not a by-product of the U.S. education system. He's an Andover-Yale-Harvard brat who was well connected enough not to get bounced from these elite schools. When he's not so well connected - as when he applied to U of Texas law school and was flatly rejected (the letter sent to him by admissions was tactful but should be read as a "Dear Stupid" missive) - he is judged as the idiotic moron that has foisted upon us.

4. This Article Hits the Nail on the Head
He is a moron. He may put on an "act," but what does that say? Absolutely nothing. Well, maybe something. He is trying to dumb down America. On some days it seems to be working. This article should be on the op-ed page of every newspaper in the country. It would be interesting to see how it is rebutted.

5. What worries me is that " . . . got something to do tonight."
I probably don't really want to know what that was.

9. In his class that is called being classy.
It is like in his class a drunk is called a sport. A rude man who talks down to people is not stupid he is just a rude man who talks down to people. Bush usually seem to think he is cute like in his cheerleader days. I see he is still worried about his weight like after the last election. He sure does worry about his weight, age and rest time.

13. It's SO agonizing to have to admit that he's the President of our country.
Have we EVER had a president who made us look so bad?

The infamous Pig Press Conference, especially because it happened after a new war started in the Middle east, is the most disgraceful thing I have ever seen. And should be grounds for impeachment by itself.

14. I don't give a damn if he says..
shit, damn, hell ass, bullshit, motherfucker etc...we all know he curses we saw examples of that in the campaign. The problem I have is that some want to pretend if we say it, it isn't so and that it is bring down the presidency , Bush is bringing it down if it can be brought down.

The point is this is suppose to be the most free country in the world and some in america seem to think that other countries don't see what we see. They know he is a dumbass and they are angry at america because they see the hypocrisy and lies of america everyday. Republicons refuse to acknowledge these facts because they know they messed up they would rather see america destroyed to protect one dumbass and to hold on to power. Americans will be dying while bush, cheney and the neocons will hide in their bunkers.
